West Virginia Unit Leader, Dr. Pat Mazik, teaching fish physiology

As part of our mission, Unit scientists teach graduate classes, mentor graduate students and conduct workshops for our cooperators.

Students in the West Virginia Unit can pursue an M.S. or Ph.D. degree through the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources in the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences.

As of September 30, 2011, 98 students have completed their degree requirements: 79 Master's students and 19 Ph.D. Students
