West Virginia Unit Leader, Dr. Pat Mazik, teaching fish physiology

The West Virginia Unit is comprised of Dr. Pat Mazik, Unit Leader, Dr. Stuart Welsh, Assistant Unit Leader - Fisheries, Dr. Laura Gigliotti, Assistant Unit Leader - Wildlife and Beth Bucklew, Administrative Secretary.

Drs. Mazik, Welsh and Gigliotti hold graduate faculty rank at WVU, teach graduate level courses and oversee the Unit's research projects. Research projects typically support graduate students and post-docs and address a wide variety of topics. Research funds for the West Virginia Unit typically come from USGS, USFWS and WVDNR.

The West Virginia Unit is housed in Percival Hall within the School of Natural Resources, Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Design. The Unit is located on Evansdale Campus of WVU.
