The Maine Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is a partnership among the U.S. Geological Survey, the University of Maine, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Wildlife Management Institute. The partners meet annually to discuss current research projects, identify cooperator information and research needs, identify funding opportunities, and discuss the unit-cooperator partnership and direction.
