Administratively, the Maine Unit is part of the Geological Survey, U.S. Department of the Interior. Functionally, the Unit works within the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Conservation Biology within the University of Maine's College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture. The Maine Unit offices are located in Nutting Hall, between Libby Hall and Hitchner Hall. Nutting Hall is located on Portage Road off Sebago Road. Visitors may park in the lot behind Nutting Hall.
