Georgia About Us


Rainbow trout are an important sportfish in Georgia.

The GA Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is housed within the Daniel B. Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, located on the South Campus area of the University of Georgia.

The GA Unit occupies a suite of administrative offices on the 4th floor of Building 3 in the School of Forestry and Natural Resources. The Unit also has a suite of graduate student and technical staff offices on the 2nd floor of the same building as well as a motor pool for its boats and work vehicles. The motor pool is located at the School's Whitehall Forest, about six miles south of main campus.
