The North Carolina Unit is led by Dr. Tom Kwak, as Unit Leader since 1999. Drs. Jaime Collazo, Joe Hightower, and Ted Simons serve as Assistant Unit Leaders with specialties in wildlife, fisheries, and ecology. All unit staff hold the faculty rank of Professor in the Department of Biology where they teach graduate-level courses, mentor graduate students, provide technical assistance, and oversee a wide range of research projects.

The Unit is housed within the Biology Department on the NC State University campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is supported by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Natural Resources. Our offices are located in rooms 225-226 David Clark Labs.
