We are expanding on the traditional use of population viability analyses to include examining interacting threats on the survival of long-lived species, albatrosses. Impact: This is a novel modeling approach with applicability to any k-selected species. No one has documented the multiplicative effect of several simultaneous threats on albatross species, and thus our findings should allow a more accurate assessment of the dangers they face.
