Minnesota Project

An integrated population model for American woodcock

August 2015 - December 2017

Participating Agencies

  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

American woodcock are a species of special management concern, and considerable information exists concerning their population ecology. However, that information has not been integrated into a single population model to help guide woodcock management. This project uses multiple sources of existing data on American woodcock populations to better assess populations trends and harvest.
