Participating Agencies

  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

The objective of this research will be to determine habitat use and movement patterns of pallid sturgeon at proposed sites of hydrokinetic turbines and reference sites in the Atchafalaya and lower Mississippi rivers. This information will be useful for forecasting the effects of hydrokinetic energy development and will provide essential baseline information for evaluating the effects of hydrokinetic development.
