Biography

I moved to Vermont from Northern California, where I worked first on wildlife research projects and later as an environmental scientist monitoring water quality along the San Joaquin River.. Current research interests include using bioacoustic methods to monitor ecosystem dynamics and health.. I enjoy teaching all ages and nearly any scientific material. In the past I have taught 8th grade Earth Science and assisted with an undergraduate plant biology course. In the future I plan to teach courses at the university level that could include anything in the spectrum from general ecology to quantitative population modeling.
