Biography

Hafez Ahmad is a Master's student. He graduated with a degree in Oceanography from Chittagong University, Bangladesh, in 2019. His research interests include using GIS, Remote Sensing, Ecosystem Modeling, and Machine Learning to solve problems in the fields of ecohydrology, wildlife, conservation, and coastal zone management research. He worked for WCS Bangladesh as a marine data management officer. Now, he is working at MSU on quantifying hydrologic connectivity and developing a framework for evaluating tradeoffs between limiting invasion risks and maintaining hydrologic connectivity in oxbow lakes. Upon completion of his master's degree, Hafez hopes to pursue further research in his fields of interest.
