Biography
Prior to joining the WI Cooperative Fishery Research Unit, I worked as a fisheries technician for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the University of Montana. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2017. I am interested in the conservation of biodiversity within freshwater ecosystems, utilizing methods ranging from genetics to ecology. My graduate research project is an evaluation of eDNA metabarcoding as a sampling tool to determine the presence of unionid mussels and various fish species of management concern, in tributaries of Lake Michigan.
