Biography

I grew up in Wisconsin and have lived in New York, Arizona, and Tennessee. I'm excited to be in Maine and look forward to learning how to ski, snowshoe, ice skate, and how not to get frostbite. I love being outdoors and exploring new places with my two dogs, Maverick and Juliet. Together, we're always up for a hike or really any adventure!

Research Interest

I have worked on projects investigating the daytime roosting ecology of Northern long-eared bats, small mammal usage in forests managed by controlled burn regimes, and the abundance of amphibians in seasonally monsoon-driven habitats. I am currently looking forward to investigating the human dimensions aspect of the dam relicensing process as it relates to FERC-regulated hydropower dams in Maine. We will be striving to understand stakeholder actions and identify knowledge gaps in the process that can be used to inform decision making on a basin-wide scale.
