Biography
My work and research experience covers broad topics in ecology and natural resource management. Areas of interest include habitat restoration, migratory birds, and wildlife response to land management. Immediately prior to joining the VCFWRU I worked for the USFWS and was responsible for the biological program at Pocosin Lakes NWR. Priority projects included implementing new national protocols for waterfowl and moist soil unit management, monitoring hydrology restoration, and designing new invasive species treatments. I am currently a USFWS Directorate Fellow and my master's research with the USGS Coop Unit focuses on determining the variables which affect acoustic detection probabilities of white-nose syndrome impacted bat species.
