Biography

Cathleen completed her master's at the University of Pennsylvania ('14) and spent her school summers studying songbird distribution across a New Hampshire timberland. She earned her BS in Biology & Society from Cornell University ('09), before moving to Juneau, Alaska to work for a nature-minded nonprofit. Cathleen was a fellow on the UVM Smart Grid IGERT program; her dissertation focused on developing methods for monitoring wildlife in landscapes destined for energy development.
