Biography

I started my career focused in marine sciences at Rutgers University (B.S., 2012), and then transitioned into applied fisheries research while completing graduate degrees at the University of Maine (M.S., 2016) and University of Vermont (Ph.D., 2021). My work with the Maine Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit focused on movements and growth of federally-endangered Atlantic salmon, while my work with the Vermont Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit focused on abundance, movements, and habitat use of state-endangered lake sturgeon. . My interests focus broadly on the distribution and movement ecology of fishes and how that information can be used to assess and manage populations. My current projects with the Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit focus on using acoustic telemetry (through the Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observation System; GLATOS) to address questions related to general movements, spawning site fidelity, and stock structure of walleye and lake whitefish in Green Bay.
