Biography

I got my BS in Tropical Biology from the National University of Costa Rica in 2002, and then my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Cornell University in 2009. My research mainly focuses on population and occupancy dynamics of Neotropical resident and migratory birds. I joined the Unit in January 2013 to work on developing calling anuran spatial occupancy models for the Northeastern US, to interpret the role of National Wildlife Refuges in amphibian conservation.
