I joined the Unit in May 2012 and am working with Dr. Bill Kendall on waterfowl migration ecology and adaptive management. Right now I mainly use spatially explicit dynamic models to understand factors driving spatio-temporal variability of waterfowl distributions and abundance. The research will eventually help us to understand the interactive effects of climate change and habitat heterogeneity and predict population responses under alternative scenarios of habitat management and climate change. I previously studied social behaviors and reproductive strategies of wild monkeys in China and community structures and dynamics of boreal birds in Quebec, Canada.
