Geographic Range: This alliance is currently known from Oregon and Washington but is expected to occur in California and Canada. Carex densa occurs in the coastal mountains from San Diego County, California, north to Oregon, chiefly west of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade summits and is peripheral in Washington.
