It is dominated by Adenostoma fasciculatum and Ceanothus cuneatus with Salvia mellifera and Malosma laurina as constant subdominants in the shrub layer and has a low cover of mostly non-native exotics in the herbaceous layer. The emergent tree layer may include Quercus agrifolia.
