Classification Comments: This association is reported by Andrews (1983) as being a thicket of Salix pseudomonticola var. padophylla. This taxon is now recognized as Salix monticola (Kartesz 1999). The one plot Andrews collected sounds very similar to ~Salix monticola / Calamagrostis canadensis Wet Shrubland (CEGL001222)$$, and this type should perhaps be merged with the Colorado type.
