The vegetation is characterized by a low-shrub layer (<1 m tall) that is codominated Salix boothii and Salix eastwoodiae with Phyllodoce empetriformis and Kalmia microphylla also present. The relatively sparse herbaceous layer is dominated by Carex nigricans. Other herbaceous species include Antennaria spp., Carex scopulorum, Eleocharis quinqueflora, Juncus drummondii, Lupinus latifolius, Pedicularis groenlandica, and Triantha glutinosa.
