Classification Comments: This is a poorly described association. Argentina egedii ssp. egedii has also been known as Potentilla pacifica and Potentilla anserina ssp. pacifica. This association is distinguished from other Washington salt marsh associations by the dominance of Argentina egedii ssp. egedii and the low cover of Salicornia depressa and Distichlis spicata. It often forms a matrix with Salicornia depressa-, Schoenoplectus acutus-, and Typha latifolia-dominated types, probably based on water levels and soil salinity. Juncus arcticus ssp. littoralis has also been known as Juncus balticus var. balticus.
