Canopy dominants include Celtis laevigata, Gleditsia triacanthos, Sapindus saponaria var. drummondii, Carya myristiciformis, Ulmus crassifolia, Fraxinus americana, and Pinus taeda. The subcanopy consists of Acer floridanum, Asimina triloba, Ilex decidua, Cornus drummondii, and canopy species. The open shrub and woody vine layer contains Viburnum rufidulum, Toxicodendron radicans, Smilax spp., Parthenocissus quinquefolia, and Cocculus carolinus. The dense herb layer includes Carex willdenowii, Carex cherokeensis, Lithospermum tuberosum, Arnoglossum plantagineum, Nothoscordum bivalve, Sanicula canadensis, Arisaema dracontium, Melica mutica, Geum canadense, Viola spp., and Carex spp.
