It also occurs at other locations in the Wichita and Quartz mountains of Oklahoma (Comanche, Greer, and Kiowa counties). In these areas, Quercus fusiformis is thought to be associated with areas that are not as extreme as those dominated by Quercus stellata and Quercus marilandica.
