A forest dominated by Nyssa biflora, Quercus laurifolia, and Magnolia virginiana with Persea palustris, Clethra alnifolia, Cyrilla racemiflora, and Toxicodendron radicans is reported from the Mississippi portion of the Gulf Islands National Seashore (R. Wieland pers. comm.), e.g. Cat, Horn and/or Petit Bois islands, but it is unclear if it should be placed here or in a Nyssa alliance.
