Biography

Tancy received her Bachelor of Science from University of Mississippi in 2007. She began work on a master's degree in Fisheries Biology at Humboldt State University in 2011 with Walter Duffy as her advisor.. The Prairie Creek Life Cycle Monitoring Station, which focuses on coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch), is located in northern California and lies almost entirely within Redwood National and State Park. Yearly juvenile salmonid abundance surveys in this region focus on upper Prairie Creek (UPC). However, my proposed research will expand monitoring efforts to include lower Prairie Creek (LPC), examining how overwinter growth and survival differs between the two reaches.
