Biography
My research expertise is vegetation ecology at a community and landscape level. This includes identifying vegetation communities and the environmental drivers that affect them, including anthropogenic disturbance (climate change, hydrologic alterations, etc.) using spatial and non-spatial modeling. These efforts are ultimately to understand the vegetation as habitat and to relate it to the population dynamics of the animals that use the habitat. My particular pet project is using sub-pixel analysis to get more data from LANDSAT for vegetation change analysis.
