Biography

Petra joined the WV Unit in 1992 as Assistant Unit Leader-Wildlife. She holds an Adjunct Professor appointment with West Virginia University in the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources.. Her research focus examines the effects of anthropocentric habitat changes, particularly from timber harvesting and energy development, on wildlife populations, especially songbirds.. Petra currently teaches a graduate course in Conservation Biology and coordinates a graduate seminar where students prepare scientific presentations.
