Biography

I joined the Texas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit in 1989. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral scientist at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute.

Teaching Interest

I have taught courses in aquatic and animal ecophysiology and aquaculture.

Research Interest

I have 40+ years of research experience with the biology and management of fishes and amphibians. Topics of current interest include reproductive and developmental biology; impacts of environmental stressors, such as contaminants and climate change, on health and reproductive fitness; and relationships between water quality and aquatic habitat quality, including harmful algal blooms
