Biography

Kara received a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology Research & Management (2017) and a M.S. in Natural Resources (2019) both from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point where she focused her research on the spatial and temporal patterns of canids within a black-footed ferret recovery area in western Kanas. Kara is continuing her interests in mesocarnivore ecology and intraguild predation within the Great Plains region as a PhD student researching plains spotted skunk species distribution, resource selection, and survival in east-central South Dakota with Dr. Josh Stafford and the Department of Natural Resource Management at South Dakota State University.
