Biography

A native to southern Idaho, I began working as a creel technician with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game while in high school. It was here that I decided to pursue a career in the fisheries field. I received my B.S. in Fisheries Resources form the University of Idaho as well as an A.S. in Aquaculture from the College of Southern Idaho. Throughout my educational career I have held various seasonal positions with IDFG as well as the Idaho Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. Currently, I am pursuing my M.S. in Fishery Science here at the U of I. My thesis research investigates the seasonal movement, population dynamics and demographics of invasive burbot within the upper Green River of Wyoming. During my free time I enjoy fly-fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with my lovely fiancé.. My interests lie within applied fisheries management and ecology. I am particularly interested in the impacts of invasive fish species and the methods used in their management.
