I graduate from Hope College with a B.S. in Biology. I worked as a technician at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and for Bat Conservation International. I am currently a master's student at Clemson University.. My research is focused on how creation of early successional habitat through timber harvest affects bat activity and assemblage. I use acoustical detectors to determine bat presence and relative active. I am also conducting insect trapping to quantify prey availability.
