Biography
After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University, Juliet completed a Master's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation, conducting her thesis research on managing vegetation to restore ground-nesting waterbird habitat in the Gulf of Maine. She has also worked on seabird and other wildlife research and conservation projects tin the United States, Latin America, and Europe.. Juliet's research focuses on better understanding the marine and terrestrial habitat needs of seabirds in order to inform conservation and restoration efforts. She is currently conducting her doctoral research on the relationships of foraging patterns and year-round habitat use by nearshore seabirds in the Gulf of Mexico to individual characteristics (sex, age, physical condition, contaminant load), environmental factors (energy development, supplementary feeding, disturbance), site fidelity, and reproductive success.
