Field research study will provide information on the vulnerability of Mountain Plover reproductive performance on different types of habitats with the species range. Objectives are to investigate differences in the causes of mortality of Mountain Plover chicks among different habitat types - grassland with prairie dogs, grassland without prairie dogs, and agricultural fields; to provide information to assist in developing management actions for mountain plovers on public and private lands in eastern colorado.
