Montana Wildlife Project
Linking resources selection to population dynamics of Mule Deer in Idaho
July 2010 - December 2015
- Mike Mitchell, Co-Principal Investigator
- Hebblewhite Mark, Co-Principal Investigator
- Idaho Department of Fish and Game
Project goal is to test the hypothesis that mule deer population productivity is related to resource selection, and to understand the mechanisms of how the trade-off between nutritional quality of habitat and predation risk determines population growth rate and carrying capacity of a landscape.
