This Summit brought together the leadership of non-governmental organizations, key federal agencies, large private landowners, industry, academia, and community organizations concerned with the future ecological and economic sustainability of the Mississippi River Valley (MRV). A goal of the Summit was to create high-level recommendations to be considered in developing sustainable projects and initiatives including influencing federal, state, and local guidelines and policies.
