Orthorectified color infrared ERDAS IMAGINE image (upde_spring_mosaic.img) of Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. Produced from 232 color infrared photos taken March 28, 2004 and March 29,2004. Orthorectification accomplished with Leica Photogrammetry Suite of ERDAS IMAGINE v8.7 software. Horizontal RMSE is 1.489 meters. This meets Class 1 NMAS for 1:12000 scale photography.
<purpose>The dataset was developed for use by Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River as a GIS component and for digital monoplotting and mapping.</purpose>

<horizpar>Overall positional accuracy of 1.489 meters. Meets the NMAS Class 1 for 1:12000 scale photography. Horizontal accuracy was assessed on the basis of 102 field survey points distributed throughout the image. The actual field coordinates for these points were recorded with a Trimble GeoXT GPS unit with a minimum of 180 fixes per point. The field coordinates were then post-processed using differential correction. The field coordinates were then compared to the image mosaic coordinates for these points, determined in ESRI ArcMap 9.0 software.</horizpar>

<procdesc>The photos (232 total) were used to create an orthorectified mosaic using ERDAS IMAGINE and ER Mapper. The photos were scanned at 600 dpi and imported into IMAGINE. The images were orthorectified using Leica Photogrammetry Suite of ERDAS IMAGINE v8.7 software. Airborne GPS and IMU data were used in the aerial triangulation procedure. Aerial triangulation produced a single RMSE of less than 1 meter for the entire block of photos. The orthorectified images were then mosaicked with ER Mapper 6.4 to form one seamless basemap image for Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. The mosaic was compressed using MrSID software at a 20:1 target compression ratio.</procdesc>
