    <descript>
This is a vector line file showing the location of the current boundary at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, Johnson City and Johnson Ranch Units. This data was created from vector boundary files supplied by the Southern Plains Inventory and Monitoring Network. The original data was digitized from parcel maps of the area.
      <purpose>To show the location of actuall boundaries of the Johnson City and Johnson Ranch Units at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. The intended use of all data in the park's GIS library is to support diverse park activities including planning, management, maintenance, research, and interpretation.</purpose>
      <supplinf>LBJ NHP was authorized on December 2, 1969 and was redesignated from a Historic Site to a National Historical Park on December 28, 1980. Present holdings are approximately 1,570 acres, 674 of which are federal. The Johnson family generously continues to add to this property; their most recent donation of acreage was in April, 1995.</supplinf>

        <procdesc>The GPS processing software was Trimble Pathfinder Office Version 2.70. GPS files were differentially corrected using Trimble Community Base Station data from the Texas Department of Transportation, Austin site. The corrected GPS files were edited for known deviant and duplicate data. The Pathfinder Office Combine utility was used to merge features collected with identical data dictionaries by different GPS collection teams throughout the 2 day collection period.
