This metadata is for the 2007 sample vegetation plots (spatial database) and 2009 accuracy assessment points (spatial database) created from the sample vegetation plots collected at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.
<purpose>Plots were collected to characterize the vegetation at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and vicinity. This GIS layer was created from the GPS coordinates recorded at the center of each plot to map their distribution and location in the Park. Accuracy Assessment Points were collected on the ground to calculate the thematic accuracy of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area vegetation map.</purpose>
<supplinf>This GIS layer was created from the GPS coordinates recorded at each point. The Shapefile was imported into a geodatabase by the USGS/CSS/Core Science Analytics and Synthesis.</supplinf>
