    <descript>
This is a vector polygon file showing the administrative boundaries of the Chaco Canyon, Pueblo Pintado, Kin Yaa and Kin Bineola park units of Chaco Culture National Historical Park. This dataset is a composite of two park boundary shapefiles acquired from the NPS data store: CHCU_BoundaryArea_2007.shp and Past_Boundary_Poly.shp. The coordinates for these datasets were heads up digitized using ArcMap GIS Software.
      <purpose>To show the location of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park administrative boundaries and provide a working boundary for the vegetation map. The intended use of all data in the park's GIS library is to support diverse park activities including planning, management, maintenance, research, and interpretation.</purpose>
      <supplinf>The shapefile was imported into a geodatabase by the USGS/CSS/Core Science Analytics and Synthesis.</supplinf>
