This layer contains spatial information for 25 plots sampled during vegetation mapping and classification efforts at Casa Grande Ruins NM, AZ. Data was collected by field crews employeed by the Sonoran Desert Network, Inventory and Monitoring program (SODN). Points represent plot origin corners.
<purpose>Plots were established to sample and subsequently, characterize the vegetation at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. This layer was created in a GIS environment using a spatial balanced sample (SBS) tool of the RRQRR algorithm. Plots were located in a random and spatially balanced manner. This layer was loaded onto handheld RECON mapping units for navigation in the field. Each point represents the corner of a 20m x 50m plot.</purpose>
